what happens when the fuel filter goes bad?

My car, out of nowere, lost a lot of power. It boggs out and doesn't give ne quick RPM's.

Sounds about right... Check your air filter too when you change out that fuel filter. Plugs and wires likely causing misfires too.

It gets really abusive to the fuel pump and other components! Attitude! Oh yes...ahem..you'll likely get hesitation on acceleration, perhaps stalling, generally poor performance. I would try a Wix replacement filter from Napa. I use them (oil, air and fuel) on my '04 Ford Focus, and am happy with them.
