weird stutter when i accelrate? help

hey whats up guys? I have encountered a problem with my car. I was driving along with the 401 got off and stopped at the lights. WHen the lights turned green i took off slowly... i have a second gen b16 so proper shifting would rouglhy be around 3000-3500 rpm.. now i was trying to get into the left lane so i hqad to past the guy beside me. So i was in first gear shifted at 4000 to get to second.. and in second gear i shifted at 3500 to get to thrid now when i stepped on the gas in 3rd the car stuttered.,... like it was spitting. I could hear it outta my exhaust. I could drive it fine just when i give it mor throttle it starts choking. Im pretty sure it wasn't detonation... cuz i know you can't really avoid that. IT idles normally.. no clanky noise.. just it stuters... I was thinking it might be a faulty spark plug or my wires. I haven't changed my plus since jan. But i heard spark plugs need to be changed frequently on turbo charged cars. (my car is turbocharged). The boost has been turned down to 6psi so i dont think it should be a problem. I baby the car so abuse is not an issue... maybe if get an idea of what i may be, i can go to my mechanic and give him a lsit of things he could look for.

thanks guys

fuel cut?

i dont think so man... im running walboro 255... and my car has been boosted for about a year now. its been great till yesterday... I remembered last winter it did a similar thing but not to this extent where i couldn't drive it. Its like there is too much fuel. I've been told repeatedly it might be saprk plugs and wires. im gonna get it checked out this week sometime.. if there are any more suggestions.. let me know.. in the even i need to find new pistons, i'll be looking for oem b16 pistons... im gonna throw i back to stock... and invest in a new block.

thanks guys

wath kind of ems are you using to tune your car?
did you use a boost controler other then yor ems to turn the boost down
if so you might be runing pig ritch and it could foul your plugs

also check your timing belt. We lost a few teeth off of our jettas, and man it drove like for about 3hours, until it slipped again, and died.

For sure, check your dizzy, your cap and rotor contacts may be wearing or corroding, also check your wirers. just get a spray bottle of soapy water and spray the crap out of the distributer and your wirer to see if they leak. you would be suprised what u come up with, alot of cars that still even run ok'ish have leaky wirers, a place to start or continue.
