Suspect brakes making noise, but want to see what else could be wrong?

When I first start my car and drive there's a squealing/grinding noise near my front passenger side that only lasts the first 3min. It makes the noise when I brake, coast, push on the gas. If I idle for about 3 min after starting my car, it doesn't make the noise at all when I drive. I thought brakes, but wasn't sure if it would be that since my car makes that noise even when I'm not pushing on the brakes and the noise is not consistent.
