Piston question w/ boosted engine!

Hey guys, with a D16Z6 on boost, if i wanted to run low psi, what kind of low compression factory pistons could i use, what aftermarket, and what would be max psi?
Keep in mind i'm not spending alot of money, trying to build a poor man's turbocharged car! Let me know, thanks.

stock pistons will handle up to about 7-9 psi any more and your looking at forged pistons and 8 to 1 compression

i don't think that LS pistons will work. They are 81mm and d16z6 is 75mm. A good stock piston to use is the Suzuki Grand Vitara piston. I think you might be thinking of ls rods, you can however use them in a d16z6.

a z6 block can withstand 220-230 whp safely, if tuned properly.. 7-9 psi is a stupid answer because they are plenty of different turbos/setups etc. 8 psi on a t28 and a t3/t4 will not be the same.

suzuki viatara pistons can be used in your block.. if you around looking for the 250whp mark.. anything higher i would recommend aftermarket, such as wiseco, srp, etc.

check out rs-machines.

They make some nice aftermarket cast turbo pistons for d/bh engines I believe.

good reviews on honda-tech.
