i absolutely love S2K's. this seems like a disgrace though

they seem to be track cars and high wings usually do make a difference on track. i wonder if the drivers actually feel a difference?

either way, as far as looking at it is concerned. definitely looks retarded.

Well, you wouldn't feel a difference with a wing unless your car was fast enough that you needed to create downforce to keep it in check. I have no idea of the modifications to these cars so for the hell of it I'm going to say the tailfin from a Boeing 747 isn't needed on the ***-end of either of those cars.

WOW, in regards to the pink s2k.... i've never seen a wing need so much support, it's like a 4-pt strut bars holding that thing on... :supergay:

There the same cars and the stupid teeth were photochoped. The wing looks real though and I bet you would feel the difference, depends on the airfoil or design of the wing.

thats sounds pretty ignorant. can you explain why a spoiler will not help on even a stock s2000 on the track?

anything that reduces lift will help any car.
a fwd car with a spoiler will reduce lift at speed, a rwd car with a spoiler will reduce lift at speed, a front splitter on any car will reduce lift at speed. "speed" is usually considered to be anything above 100-120km/h. now i'm pretty sure most cars can achieve those speeds, so how do aerodynamic parts NOT help?

can you explain how spoilers and such can reduce lift?

I remember hearing about Audi TT's fliping after the driver would lift on the throttle, thats the number one reaseon for the little spoiler on the rear of those cars.

A wing basically gives a low pressure area at the back of your car which causes the high-pressure area to infact, push down on the wing which gives you downforce. By adjusting the degree of the wing you can either create more or less downforce. A lower degree would offer you less downforce but more drag but if you use a higher degree you will have more downforce and less drag. Usually if you use a lower degree other parts of the car are used in conjunction to divert the air away from the wing as much as possible.

I think it's called the Bernulli(sp?) Effect or something like that..

Suffice to say I didn't take note of the banner on his windshield so I can see him wanting to get as much with the car as he possibly could. Infact, I will contract what I said and also agree, Jason, that it was ignorant.

That's actually the first s2k I've seen with that type of wing (I'm sure there are more) so I'd like to hear his reasoning on buying it. I'm sure if you've put such a large one on it's been specifically picked out. I personally associate a wing of such size with a car that would achieve much higher speeds than that s2k probably would which is why I asked for specifications on the car. That's where I'll blame my reasoning for what I said on..
