New to hondas not to cars...buying crx what to look for?
so im goin to look at a crx this week that im goin to pick up if it looks ok.
This is goin to be my first honda.
The reason why im goin with crx is just the cost of making this thing perform as i now feel hondas are goin to be my best bang for the buck for what i want to do.
Im a mechanic so i know what to generally look for and im goin to do a full inspection on it before i buy... same as if i was goin to saftey something.
Im just dont know much about honda's so is there any trouble areas on a crx that i should really pay close attention too?
I know honda's are bad for rust luckly this one is clean its a 1991 si that is owned by a customer of my dad it has 220,000 km but has been oil sprayed every year and is bone stock..
Its taken along time to find one in this unmolested condition...... i didnt want someone elses hack job
so im just wondering what are the typical trouble spots on these cars so i can pay close attention to these areas.
any help is appreciated.

If the car is rust free you really can't go wrong. Just make sure it isn't a bondo-mobile, check the back of the rear well arches as these are usually first to go. Other than the body there aren't any common problems that should turn you off of a CRX.

you pretty much covered everything in your post.
welcome to the dark, faster side. i've visited vw world, the economy is caving in on itself, many lack education, poverty rate is high and most of the residents think they run the place. lol

Hey dude
Even if the car is rust free you should pull up the back seat (hatch) or the little rear tray/cover(crx)
and look at the rear brake lines(hard lines) going out of the body to the rear
I've seen more than 1 car with rusted lines inside
Here is one that cracked wile driving
note everything outside looked fine but it was the line inside the was the problem.
