Stupid question, but did you use new gaskets every where they were necessary?

ekgsr has a little shameless behaviour in the past
intake

try spraying ether (a product with ether in it called "quick start" but anything with ether in it will do the trick)(ether is like a form of fuel) around the vacuum lines (while engine is running) and around the intake/head area, and mabey around the evap (just incase you removed anything there) if there is a vacuum leak the engine idle should pick up, then you found your leak. If you didn't not hook up the iac motor (on the back of the intake) propery it might have the same affect.

Good advice withthe ether.

Is throttle response slow and then very abrupt? Not smooth...

not to be a dick, but there intake manifold are yes more for Turbo apps, but if u were going turbo and were getting it from Edlebrok then the mani. would come in the complete Preformer X turbo kit and u would probably not be installing urself, or alone, assuming from this question.

and, 2L+ high compression B series motors with large cams and 9K+ rpm. it owns almost everything out there (for the price) in these 2 particular cases.
