Need Help!!! Engine Sputtering, WHY!!!
OK, so i have a Fully Built GSR Engine, with ITB's Stage 2 cam shafts, and cam gears, and a wackload of other , but here's my problem. I just tookit around the block to give it a run, and when it was warmed up, I punched it, and it took off a little bit, then started lurching almost feeling like it was going in and out of gear, even tho it was fully in gear. I am wondering if it is my injectors, or the fact that there is a very low amount of fuel in the tank, and there was not a steady strem when i punched it due to the car launching.
any help is very appreciated, I am not sure whats going on and I would like to fix it!
Thanks guys.

well start with the gas, but also if you just finished building it you should be properly backing it in, right? so be nice to it, but also check fuel pressure, you may not be running enough for its needs. start there and see.

one would "assume" that, and I hope that they checked that, but I don't want to make an obvious, but maybe wrong, assumption.
because one would assume they would have put in enough gas for a test drive, right??

The car does have a fuel pressure gauge, and yes it has been checked. It had pleny of gas in it for its test drive, but i got it home, and took it out quickly, when it was very low on fuel, and that is ehy i believe that could be the problem, but i just wonthave time to fill the tank in this car until friday. then i will take it out again, and see if the problem persists. I will let you guys know on friday evening how it went. I appreciate your input so far. I will keep you posted.

My guess is the fuel.. if it was tuned by a shop they would've have it running on the dyno to get the map right. since you;ve brought it home and tried it on the street.. the only main difference between the dyno and the street is the g's that would cause sloshing in the tank... if you fill it up and still have problems, odds or the problems would have been there when you we're on the dyno.

THanks guys, and yes you are right tmac, I filled the tank to eliminate the fuel pump from being starved for fuel and getting air bubbles instead. I put 15L into the tank, and the problem was solved, everything is good now. I appreciate your help!
