drift_n_shift has a spectacular aura about

help! importing JDM car!?

i want to buy a car from japan, a 1992 CRX (del sol) model. I know that this car has to be 15 years or older, but can i bring it over as a show car, say summer 2006 (14 years and like 4 months)? if i do what rules will apply for being a "showcar"? or do i have to wait for 2007? also do you guys know how much more the insurance would be for a JDM CRX vs a north american CRX? thanks

I never understood why people would bother bringing over a model that was sold here... Makes no sense to me... It's not cool because it's RHD.

no, you can not bring the vehicle into canada until it is 15 years old, it will be impounded, possible shipped back at your expense or even crushed. you gotta wait one more year.

id like you to post some proof of this. I believe he can import, just cant register the vehicle for street use...

yea, i got quotes of rhd civics to be around 9000-10000
