good system, but only downside is that most people use the fuel cut off for there tegs or honda, so the guys know the deal. Example: i had a hands free cell wired into the fuse box. A person broke into the car, rewired the entire fuse box "i thought this was amazing" to activate the cell and make long distance calls and never stole the car. The experience needed to do this was increadiable, i wired half the stuff myself and i am very good at what i do. The guy did this on the fly with about less than 30min. So to my point, a guy who knows yer cars "I dont know civics and so on, only euro cars" can figure it out in under 30min. I say max 30min, so it can be around 10min. People who do this sorta stuff know what there doing, i personally have alot of experience with bmws and volvos "primarly volvos". A new volvo with the latests alarm and imb can be started in a short amount of time, taken its models i work with. With not other secuirity other than stock i can take anywhere from 10 to 20 min to get it going on the latest model.
Ok, so what can i do to slow down a theft: make the wiring as confusing as possible. Make sure the person trying to steal the car most likely will not have the tools to steal the car. Get as close as possible to the source of power then work your way back, also leave the stock wiring in place. "this really pisses em off, re wire the stock wiring to things like re defroster or head lights, this will confuse the outta them for a little bit", let them play wif the multi meter, if there good , thinking they got the right wires. Double back in certain areas. For a good setup make your own sorta face plate that has numerous wires leading to it. Then they will either need the face plate "your custom module "if yer good at switches" or need to start from scratch making connections based on tests that will just get them to give up.
Rule of thumb: dont do it any other way someone else has used and do it your own style. Your own style is why you customized yer car in the first place right?
