I want to know how many miles I can expect out of a well maint. Honda Civic

Well, unfortunately, that question raises questions. You see, it depends on the maintenance of the vehicle prior. How often was the oil changed? Air filter, grease points, tire rotation, etc. On the average, I would expect 20 to 22 miles per gallon. Now, it is up to you to keep the car maintained. Check out the fuel filter, a dirty filter will affect performance and fuel economy. Tires should be correctly aired to about 32 psi. This is one of the biggest fuel users of all, believe it or not. Make sure tires are rotated about every 7500 miles, this will prolong their life. Also, do not pay for 93 octane gas! You see, unless you are operating a high performance motor, you do not need it! I can't stress this enough! It is a gimmick for the petroleum industry to tell you it keeps your engine cleaner or gives you more gas mileage. Corvettes and the like require the higher octane. No joke! Anway, take care of your car and it will take care of you.

You should get over 200,000. Change your timing belt every 100,000 miles and change your oil every 2-3 months, depending on how often you drive and how far you drive. I have a 91 Honda with over 250,000 miles and it still runs great. It looks good too.
