i have a seat toledo 1.8 petrol engine model 1999 when does cambelt need changing?

just get it done now and then you'll know exactly and you won't be guessing or sat on a motorway for 8 hours waiting for the AA.

It used to be 120k but the VW group after a batch of failures changed it to 4 years or 40k miles, it is also recommended to change the water pump at the same time.















though this is only a recommendation.















most people seem to change theirs around the 60k mark.If you plan on keeping the car for a while then it would prob be a good idea to get it changed at the 40k mark.















Or if its never been changed & as the car is nearlly 9 yrs old change it now.
