Well, the first question is -
What is your budget? Honda motors are very expensive to modify correctly. Are you looking no N/A power? or forced indutction power?
Are you looking for a daily driver street car? or a full-blown drag car?
If I knew more about what exactly you wanted, I could answer your questions more effectivly.
Remember not to "skimp out" on crucial parts, like rods / bearing combo's. Those are the last thing that you want to go wrong.
If you are going to go a boosted setup, I'd try some Carrillo Forged H-beam rods, but if you was the lighter, fastermoving things, I'd go with Probe Ultralights (for NA use).
I'd stick with Honda Bearings as well, I've had no luck with ACL's. In general Honda bearings hold up alot better.
What about Cams?
For the B-series they make a WIDE range of cams, gains from 15whp - 30whp, depending upon the aggressivness of the lift. Look into Skunk2 or Crower for good mild street/strip cams. Remember - they make them specifically for Turbos as well - Also look into Web Cams, for some really aggressive Racing cams. For the top of the line, they have Toda "Vtec killers", but these are strictly race-use cams only, they are very difficult to tune on...
O fcourse you'll need stiffer springs, and some retainers to match, which can also be purchased whereever you buy cams. WORD OF ADVICE!!! DONT MISS-MATCH CAMS/SPRINGS!
Pistons -
They make all sorts of them, JE, Arias, Wiseco, Mahle, CP just to name afew. Select your compression with your ideas of what you want to do in mind, the higher the compression, the less boost you'll want to run and the higher the octaine that you'll have to use for it to run, a Good turbo compression would be like 8:1, and a nice N/A comp would be 11:1 - 13:5:1.
if you want to know more, you can always e-mail me!
