Honda Civic Problems !! Help !!
hello everyone, i have a problem with my 94 civic dx coupe. My car overheats instantly, while driving and on start up, it studers and jerks while in neutral or when my foots on the break, and while in park it revs for absolutely no reason. I popped the hood and i got some rad fluid leaking. ANYONE know what my problem is ? im baffled cause this is so spontainious

sounds like you know what the problem is already....coolant leaking from somewhere....figure out where its leaking from (rad hoses, heater core hoses, misc coolant hoses near the intake manifold, from the rad itself) and fix the leak. You're idle could be bouncing up and down b/c there is no coolant or air in the system, and it would definately overheat with no coolant in the system.

ya i just figured out for sure what the problem is, i went for a little cruise around the block fill up gas and stuff, didnt over heat until i started on the way home. its definatly the rad im just not certain where the leak is coming from. ill keep you guys posted on the progress

1.get a coolant system pressure tester
2. Fill your rad up with coolant(obviously if its coming out faster then you can fill its a large hole and this test is pointless as you should be able to see it pouring out)
3. Put the pressure tester where the rad cap goes and pump it up putting pressure into the cooling system.
this will push the coolant out of where ever its leaking therefore identifying your problem
im goin to say from my experiences its either your rad or water pump but check the obvious upper, lower rad hoses ect
and dont let your car overheat anymore or you are goin to **** your engine
ive seen way to many idiots drive with there car overheating and do alot of damage that could have easily been prevented
also if there isnt a leak anywhere but you got lots of coolant missing i would say head gasket possibly heater core........head gasket would explain all the white smoke comin out your tail pipe

ya thats the only good thing about breakin stuff you get to upgrade it to better.
Drive it till ya break it then make it better then it was so hopefully it takes more to break it thats what i say.

Why post here if you aren't going to read the replies?
1. Use your EYES to see where the coolant is coming from.
2. Fix leak.
How you weren't able to figure this out on your own, I don't know.
If white smoke is coming out of your exhaust, coolant is entering your combustion chamber which is almost certainly due to a blown head gasket.
[sarcasm] Yes, an oil change will fix everything! [/sarcasm]
