ok so i finally killed my gsr, the crank bearing went, cars of the road in oct time to rebuild. anybody ever try really high compression pistons to keep temperatures down vs a turbo? ive seen so many turbos but no n/a rebuilds. any discussion would help, thanks

n/a builds are expensive thats why they're less common than boosted hondas.

you have to be careful with high compression and n20. If you want to run a butt-load of n20 i would run lower compression similar to a turbo build. If you want to run high compression forged internals are a MUST if you're gunna be using n20

you won't make as much WHP/WTQ with n20 as you can with a turbo. A 4 cylinder honda engine can only take so much n20 before getting into trouble.

Direct Port is the only way to do a "big" n20 setup IMO and it has to be a wet kit regardless if its a single fogger or direct port.

Being high compression already you'll really have to watch the ignition timing values even without the n20 if you're gunna run pump gas. You'd be surprised how much timing you can pull on a honda engine before really loosing power when using the n20.

I like n20 myself, but unfortunately its not too frequently used on hondas for some reason.
