What exactly broke the cable/wire,goes through the firewall? the hoses? Or the actual valve?

Btw:What does bump!! mean?

bump = moving the thread up to the top of a section. many men have been banned over it (once a day is plenty)

Ok Not sure exactly what you mean so I will try to cover everything you may be talking about. Ok if it is the temp cable (black cable with a little wire through it). Starts at the temp valve black box (with lever 2 rubber hoses etc.) at the back of the engine bay, that goes through the firewall into the cab of the car.

Engine Compartment:

1.Check if the spring clip (holds cable down, so the wire inside can move your temp valve) is clipped in securely, if clip is missing replace it, and repeat first process.

2.If the wire inside is broken off or frayed take of the spring clip and the move to 3 step in this process

Inside Car:

3. Remove the heater control panel screws (to get to them you will probably
have to remove the cladding around the radio (which can crack so be gentle).
And pull out heater control panel,

4 Check for cracks in the dial, should have another spring clip, remove it, twist and turn the cable out of the connecting hole, while holding the panel steady (this is fragile too, remeber be gentle)

5.Pull your cable through the firewall and replace starting from the inside at the heater panel hook and twist. remember your spring clips.

Heater hoses-

Quite Simple Remove Clamps, Replace hose, Proper length and no kinks is the way to go here

Heater control Valve itself

turn the lever back and forth to see if isn;t seized. if it moves freely its good
if it doesn;t move at all is bad

Ok did that help at all?
