Has anyone driven Honda civic with snow tires? Does it help?

True snow tires always give more traction on snow and ice.
They will be louder and not handle as well at high speeds.
New all weather tires will give a lot of traction on a front wheel drive cars also but not quite as much as true snow tires.

Not true at all. I upgraded to the latest "Goodyear Ultragrip Ice" tires this past winter and they are quiiiiiiet and smoooth on the road (I'm talking highway speeds of 130-155km/h). Now my previous Dunlop Graspic tires had amazing grip but were slightly noisy. I guess they've really improved winter tire technology.
