it sounds like something is constantly draining your battery. did u install after market power windows? after market stereo components? the other guys suggestion will let u know if your battery is being drained constantly.

Earlier today I was working on a customers' Cavvy with the same problem, turns out that the blower motor switch was fubar, and constantly drawing 800-900 milliamps.

starter is pretty easy to find, just look on the top of your tranny under the intake tube, its held in with 2 14mm bolts, the solenoid wire just pulls off and the positive s held on with a 10mm nut.
its an insanely easy job, you shouldn't have any issues

Don't know if your car has one or not, but I'll throw it out there. Afternarket alarms and especially remote starters are notorious for that crap. If you have one, try disconnecting the module. Don't just throw parts at it. Make sure it's the starter first. Check to see if you have power at the end of the starter lead (power wire) when you turn the key. If you do, then it may be the starter, but I have a feeling you won't have any power there. In which case it may be another issue..i had an ignition switch go, and the car wouldn't turn over. Good luck.

LoW_CiViC2k6 - before you go replacing every part in yer car, try this to see where the drain is comming from - but firstly absoloutly make sure you have a properly working and fully charged battery.
if you suspect the starter motor - simply disconnect the wires from it and leave it in. if battery stayes charged after a few hours then suspect a faulty grounded starter - if you hook up the starter again and the battery drains - yer starter is highly suspected - however Ive never yet seen a starter do this personally, they usually just quit.
go fuse by fuse, pull one out at a time to narrow down a section of the circut and wait a while to see if there is drain, like a few hours is enough
but i suggest you invest in a multi meter meant for solid state electronics (a car multimeter and not a house current type) under $100, and or a cheap cuircut tester probe under $10 and go checking the circuts, also get a manual for your car - the $40 dont have everything in them but it will help you out getting to know yer car, and you should be able to find wireing schematics for free online.
Im just afraid cuz you seem way way way unfamiliar with your vehicle and you may just fukk something up, shock yerself, weld some wires together by improperly handeling them, etc.. it only takes milli amps to stutter your heart - meaning only a few millionths of one amp. when working around the battery, be carefull not to ground it out by accidentally crossing the electrical path with something like vice grips/screw drivers/etc...it could potentially explode [never seen it myself but it's known to happen] - oh man i've sparked as many batteries as Ive sparked cigars, lol
you could have a faulty replaced alternator, it could also be something as simple as a loose terminal connection or corodded connection. take a lil sand paper or steel wool and clean off the battery terminals and the wire connectors if its a post mount type.
does it drain just sitting there for a while? if so, how long till it dies?
does yer car have a battery guage [not an idiot light]? if so, watch it when in park and then put it under load by putting on head lights, radio, AC, etc.. and see if it drops a lot [some is normal esp at idle] - if it drops a lot - suspect the alternator.
does the battery completely drain or just enough not to turn over the starter?
fully charge the battery [and i dont mean by jumping it with another car for 20 mins] and take it in to canadian tire - they will check it for free - better yet - take the car back to wherever you got yer car fixed with the batt and alt and tell them it's still broke and you want it fixed - if you replaced it yerself - ohh well
I've seen tilt steering wheels fray through wires and caose probs.
ya im kinda all over the place cuz im tired, sorry for running around
and please be absoloutly carefull working in the engine bay while the motor is running
