crx smokes black and and black come out of tail pipe

i have a 89 crx and it smokes black alot when when i rev my egine black comes out... i was just wondering if any one would know what is that problem

black smoke is usually due to car running rich so definetly better then blue or white....

Yeah, it's gotta be pretty bad if you have black smoke while revving under no load. Do plugs, wires, air and fuel filter to start
