hey all i just bought a civic and would like to know your opinion on how fast this setup is and what power to expect.


94 honda Civic Cx Hatchback 5 spd
b16 2gen block with type r internals with a type r head and type r intake manifold with a 4-1 header into a magnaflow 2.5 exhaust i also have a stage 1 or 2 bully clutch(i forget) with a Fidanza Flywheel, cold air intake Motor has no porting or anything done to it, bone stock. it has dropzone coilover and shocks.

i havent driven the car yet cause there are no cv shafts in it due to them breaking.

so people post your thoughts im curious

well i doubt that you have a 2nd gen b16 with type R internals, wouldn't quite fit. Maybe the head, but i don't know, i would check the stamping. It wouldn't make sense to put ITR pistons in a b16 b/c it would lower the CR.
But if by type R internals you mean civic type R pistons (PCT) with an ITR head would make a pretty nice high compression b16 setup.

Axles breaking usually means torque. Not usually found in Hondas.

When you're dumping the clutch from 8000rpm, you don't need torque to snap a shaft.

I tried dumping the clutch at 5000 once in my rabbit. Cost me 1 rear tranny mount, one front engine mount, and damaged the starter. The tires can be seen in the rim polishing section.
