B20 VTECK problems..

B20 VTECK problems..

Hey, I installed B20B VTEC in my 2000 CIVIC SIR SHELL...

Specs..

STOCK 97 B20B BLOCK
STOCK 2000 B16A2 HEAD

problem.... coolant leaking out of cylinder head ... driver side.
blown headgasket??....I used stock B20B headgasket.

also its leaking oil alot .. below near oil pump and oilpan.. I put new oilpan gasket its still leaking... ..U think its maybe cause.. I never put any gasket or silicone when I installed the OIL PUMP...


also about the coolant leaking problem....Should I fix the problem by buying a new HEAD GASKET..or get a new MOTOR BLOCK.. like LS ...

and whats the estimated price for fixing...this problem..

Did you resurface the head before you installed it? try changing the head gasket. and yes your oil leak is because there's no sealant or silicone between the block and pump.

Well I plan to just put a stock B18 head, can I use the GSR BOLTS?..or I NEED TO get B20/LS head bolts..

never reuse head bolts....NEVER! buy some LS/b20 ones. why you swapping out the vtec?

well...now I took the whole B20 VTEC motor out and putting a LS MOTOR from 1994 INTEGRA.. I need the car for work..so not into performance rite now....

anyway, hey the LS motor is OBD1 and my car is OBD2B...will the motor run in my car...oh and I have OBD1 LS ECU WITH CONVERSION HARNESs too.....

do I have to change anything on it?

motor will run. u need the harness to go from obd1 to 2 skunk 2 sells one i think... it should just start up no problems
