auto -->> manual conversion help please!

Hey just wondering if anyone has had it done... if so how much?

i called lucky star japan they quoted 1 week and 2500....

i called motor sports inc. ART they quoted 1 week and 2400-2600.....

now i dont know if its just me being crazy, but to the best of my understanding this swap should cost between 1400-1600? if im wrong please correct me as this is what i have been informed....

could anyone point me to a reputable mechanic to have this auto swapped to a standard.

THANKS!

car is a 95 acura integra.

its alot of work. yo uneed to find the tranny, axles, linkages, clutch assembly including pedal, alot of money for parts. for me to do that swap for my cavalier, if i were to use the oem tranny and not the one i have now, would cost me around 1500- 1800 depending on the parts i went with.

as for the amount of work involved, its not easy its apita, oh and dont forget you need the new shifter and center console. you need to firstly install everything and assume the mounts are gonna be the same ofm the auto to manual tranny, then you need to put a hole int he firewall for the clutch and you gotta be rairly accurate with that. really its alot of work and unless the car is worth keeping its not worth doing

apparently the integra is a very very easy and straight foreward conversion..... the hardest part is making the hole... and welding the new rear tranny mount... appart from that its supposed to be bolt and go........ in anycase i would be happy paying 1600 for it if anyone knows a shop?
