92 Accord Manual Transmission Problem
Hey guys, have a big problem with the manual transmission in my '92 Accord EX-R
Up until this morning my transmission was shifting smoothly, almost buttery smooth, new clutch was installed sometime last year by previous owner, and its my daily driver so I dont abuse it, and im not on the road for long periods of time (at most 15 km per day). Ive owned this car since May '08 and ive never had any issues with it.
All of a sudden now, i cant engage into any of the gears while the engine is running. If the car is off then i can, but not while the car is running. Now my clutch pedal feels really loose, i dont have to press down on it all the way for my foot to hit the floor. Now i tried shutting the car off, putting it in gear, and turning it back on, because thats the only time it works, and tried shifting out of first, but guess what? It would not come out of gear! Stuck in first. I figure that would happen if i was in 1st, 2nd or reverse.
Im really pissed and baffled by all of this because again, this is my daily driver, and i take great pride in maintaining her and making sure shes in top shape mechanically, and this really came out of NOWHERE. This isnt a case where my transmission has been acting up for a while.
Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated, although im almost positive ill have to get her towed to my mechanic's shop.
