2000 d16y8 motor into 97 civic dx hatch HELP ME?

ok so i decided to swap the whole y8 motor and trans into my 96 hatch that was formerly a d16y7. I understand i will have to wire in vtec and a knock sensor. My questions are..

when i use the y7's engine harness on the 2000 y8 motor i just need to use my y7 dizzy so all the clips will just be plug and play right? besides of course the vtec solenoid

will my car run properly until i wire in the vtec and knock sensor[i have to drive it home and do the wiring]

is there anything else i should know?

ill also be using a p2p ecu from a 96-98
