1993 Honda accord won't start?

i have a 1993 honda accord. When i trun the key the instrument panel lights starts but the rest of the car is dead. The only way i can start the car is by hitting the starter with a wire comeing from positve of the batterie. The starter was changed few weeks ago but i still have the problem. I need to know what is wrong with my car. Thanks

make sure the starter is wired up and actually firing. if its not wired correctly, it can be a good starter with no connection.

Did ya hook the wires up correctly?HMMM? If it all checks out then try a new ignition switch.
