Why is my new 08 Accord making a ticking sound under the hood??

Just purchased the car a month ago and it makes a very audible ticking sound that increases in speed when the gas pedal is pushed

ITS A BOMB RUN!

hahaha sorry.

if its a big deal take it to the dealership and ask what it is but don't have them fix it, take it to a mechanic later and ask them what the problem is. ask for quotes.

Check your oil. Actually, I should say have your oil checked. If your oil is old, replace it. If the problem persists, take it right back to the dealership (or wherever you bought it) and tell them it's making a clicking noise under the hood.
