my '98 Honda Accord's battery died so i have to re-enter the anti-theft code...?
but i had no idea what the code was so i used up all of my guesses and now it says "COdE e". the manual said to leave the audio system on for one hour and well i ran errands today and it must have at least taken one hour altogether but i cant put in a code at all now, which i found.

If waiting one hour before trying again didn't work, you need to disconnect the car's battery. Disconnect both cables from the battery, then touch the cable ends together. Some radios have capacitors that will keep the memory alive for up to ten minutes. Touching the cable ends together will discharge the capacitors.

If you cannot enter the code I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes then reconnect it. This should reset the radio again. If you don't have the correct code, yo need to call Honda to get it.
To get the code-You need to get a serial/model number off the radio- the only problem this is on a sticker usually on the bottom of the radio. You have to pull the radio out to get this code. Once you have the code you must call a local honda dealer, ask to speak to service dept and they can get you the code. I had the same exact problem w/ my 95 Accord. The only thing that sucks is taking the radio out- be careful! I broke the clips that hold the radio in so my radio doesn't fit flush anymore.
Good Luck

I had a 95 honda accord. your best bet is to un-hook the battery again. then try it that way. i still have my card that has my anti-theft code but it might not work for yours but it's 55361. it's a try. if it don't work call your dealer. or you may just have to buy a new radio..good luck. let me know if it works. my email is heather_nikol@yahoo.com
