If my battery runs down (Honda Accord 1995), will that affect the doors...

No, the doors will fault to an unlocked condition it is part of the safety feature, however ......the battery in your key fob may be dead and or weak. You can replace the batteries in the fob and it should work fine.
A quick check of your battery is to park in front of an object (like the garage door) and turn the head lights on, and wait several minutes if they dim your car battery is low, if they brighten up when you start the car then your battery is still low however the altenator is still working. If they head light re main dim then you have an old battery and a bad charging system.
As a rule most car batteries will need to be changed about every five years or so depending on battery type.
