Who else loves a burnout?
#3
Thanks for the welcome... I do have a few pics of the car... or atleast a couple good burnout pics & one good launch. I will try and get them up soon.
as far as the motor goes, its just your basic 5.0 builders car..
afr 225s etc. and all your other goodies, just put together good. Hoping to put a dss 347 in next season. your car looks good... I wish I could have got a coupe myself.

AFR 225s on a 302? I thought my Vic Jrs were big for that motor.
Are you running a blower or juice? Im in the same boat as you though.
Ive been warned to pic up a dart block because I make 547 to the wheels
and was told by a few I will split the block

yeah I know what your saying, but I came across a great deal on them So I had to have them. And on top of that, I am planning on the 347 like I said. But yeah, I am spraying a 75 shot right now. Or atleast here and there. I have been preached to about the block myself. It sounds like you might need a dart. I have seen a 5.0 block cracked at 500 ft lbs... I also would guess about how you flog on it too. I bet your car is nasty though. I can't wait to get my new motor built and what not. I can't decide which power adder to go with. I could just go for the bigshot kit fro Nos. But who doesn't love the whine of a super charger. I guess that will all be worked out next year sometime. depending on the $ I would guess.

Welcome to the site, and everyone loves a good burnout! Post up some pics!!!
So you've got 450whp out of a 302 block with AFR225 heads, n/a??? Must be a dog down low, those heads are HUGE even for a street 347. Post up some specs on this beast, and a dyno sheet if you've got it!

Get some pics, then get some cubes. Build a budget 393W, slap those heads on and hold on! You could do with a nice cam like the Comp Cams thumper #35-601-8, it's a small base circle roller cam so you can retrofit the 85-95 hydraulic roller lifters and spider onto any 69-94 flat tappet 351W and make good power out of those heads til 6000 RPM with the right intake and exhaust. And then you can spray it, provided the drivetrain can hold up!

Yeah, like I said, I am hoping to get a dss pro bullit 347 short block this coming year. And take some time and get it done right. I have my rear end hooked up as much as needed right now. So the only down fall might be the trans. But I have ripped more than one out before, so that won't be a problem. If your not breaking stuff, your not going fast right?
