Its never good to street race it could be fun at times but when you hit a Light Pole at approx. 160kms/h on a 50-60kms/h zone its not a good feeling.
You Forget About racing after surviving from a crash like that and it happend to me 2-3 weeks ago trying to get over it but kinda hard...
I mean I had a nice Acura Integra which I dont anymore but hopefully will get something soon but for now you could check out what I am talking about.
It might sound cool or you might have alot of fun when you speed up like I have done over 200kms easily over the 401 several times but at that time you dont think of what could happen but now I know what cudve happened to me
I would just Say I am lucky to be alive lol screw the car man I learnt my lesson drive safe and slow...

Very Lucky indeed, it's saddens me that most young people are cocky and have so little regard for self preservation and public safety.
I'm sorry you wrote your car off but I certainly hope you exersise caution in the future. you only have one chance at life, so prolong death as long as possible.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
I think its good you learned your lesson without involving anyone from the public. If you only damaged your car I'd say it was a pricey lesson that probably needed to be learned

We all grow up and learn our lessons, some worse then others but as long as you learn from the mistakes and never make them again. We have all had them and maybe even more to come! I am sorry to hear about your loss and good that your alive.

Ya your lucky! But like everyone else has said, its good you learn it now. Ive learned it and will never forget it, so i feel your pain. I was able to fix my ride back to new but it wasnt cheap.
Moral of the story: Leave the racing for the track!!
