Btw, the MN12 chassis refers to '89-'97 Tbird/Cougar
I beleive it's an 8.8" centre section and is available in limited slip variations as well as disc brakes.
Most have drums though....
And the MN12 parts are CHEAP. As a bonus, the entire rear suspension is attached to a subframe so you can install it as a complete assembly unlike some of the other cars I listed.

stock mk3 supra rear ends have held 500+hp daily driven.
Stock mk4 rear ends have held a lot more....
The problem with the mk3 rear ends is rust. Being 15+ years old, they do tend to crack now when you daily 450+ whp. Those who know eric know all about that one.

If you're going to put a lot of power through a Ford 8.8 rear end, get an Auburn Pro differential for it. Even though the stock Ford differential is strong, the Auburn is indestructable. And for any Ford drivetrain work, go to John Goodman in Newmarket.
If you scrounge one off an 89-97 bird/cougar, be careful 'cuz the V6 non-SC ones had 7.5".
IRS were also in the Lincoln Mark 8 1993 to 1998, and in more recent Cobras, 1996+ or 1999+ something like that. They also had aluminum housings so there's a little weight saving there. Ford actually sells complete aluminum 8.8 units with a LSD and 3.73 ratio.
