all i got that you should make torque at high RPM to take advantage of gearin

All anybody needs to know is this:

Any given car, in any given gear, will accelerate at a rate that *exactly* matches its torque curve

and also:

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm, because you can take advantage of *gearing*.

Horsepower is just a rough idea of how much torque is made up high. It's a poor measurement because 200hp @ 4000rpm != 200hp @ 8000rpm.

The thread can end now.

and thats the bottom line cause viperoni said so..
I got some major torque going on.. the car is still new to me.. but i know it has high compression pistons, and i know i was able to get the tires to spin going into 4th.nothing amazing but front end got loose. that was with my vtec off.. (cause vtec is on a switch and i didn't turn it on)..
i told my buddy i did that.. and he said i had high torque. when it comes to this talk, i am a

Your tires will spin once they are hit with more than a certain amount of torque. You can calculate this amount by looking at your engines dyno chart at whatever RPM the tires spun at, and multiplying it by your 4th gear's and final drive great's ratio.
