I've owned Suzuki's for the past 12+ years, and we currently own a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick Sport JLX 4-door which has never let us down.
Prior to the current Sidekick, I've also own a 1990 Suzuki Swift GT (which was a blast to drive and mod), and of course a 1990 Suzuki Sidekick JL 2-door convertible.
All the above models have just had basic wear and tear items replaced, none ever experienced anything more than that!
I am a lifelong Suzuki fan and wholeheartedly who recommend it to anyone and of course it would always be first for our brand of choice.

Suzuki is king of small cars, quite popular outside of North America. The SX4 is prominant for its AWD, but it a BS system which is part time and cuts out at 55kmh, but it's a decent car from what I see, a bit pricy, I saw the top line model MSRPD at 20k i think.
Don't buy that Suzuki Swift+ , that car is a Daewoo piece of
