So tempting, but no money
so i was at a local car show last night and saw this LT1 that ive seen a lot of times but never seen it pull in or heard it or anything. i saw this guy pull in and it sounded really wild. well i ended up talking to him and the engine is a 383 LT1 with basically nothign stock. It was dynoed with a 150 shot at somewhere over 700 horse. Car runs 10s on motor but he gets kicked out of the track for no cage.lol. anyways hes building a new engine for it and hes looking to sell the 383. he wants 4 grand for the complete engine. i asked what he meant by complete and he said everything, i can take it out and put it in my car how it is. he said hes looking to sell it in the fall prolly and he has at least 8 grand into the engine. at the rate im going i wouldnt have 4 grand until mid next year prolly. i know this prolly wont happen but its such a good deal, i dont wanna pass it up. i will see what happens and hopefully god will throw me some money down from heaven so i can get this thing.lol. jsut thought id share.

yea im not so sure about getting this thing. we are in the process of changing my **** rear main seal and my dad doesnt wanna try to drop to whole pan to change the pan gasket too, so now im mad cause i dont want it to leak as much or more as it did before, and he got pissed off cause, well he was working on my LT1.lol. so he said the next time he is working on my car is to change the engine so i told him theres a 383 i can buy for 4 grand and we can drop it in.lol. but yea the 383 only runs on race gas and it costs like 100 bucks to fill up at 4 something a gallon for it.lol

info as in where you would be able to pick this thing up or info as in what exactly is done to it?

i made a mistake in my original post so i went to edit it and i hit quote instead, then i posted then i went back to correct that and it all got messed up.lol. anyways... what are you guys doing for 4th of July?lol

yeah that is a nice deal... you know my rear main seal leaks too, and it really pisses me off because i already changed it once, and it still leaked, so now im not sure if its even the seal, i have no idea what is leaking.
