Not surprising... Oil company reps and executives are businessmen just like the rest of our country. They are in the business to make money. What sucks for us is that they happen to be in the business of something that we all need and basically cannot live without. And since they are all about lining their pockets to the max it works out for all of them...

If you ask me I think they are getting close to be able to be considered a monopoly, something of which the government should step in and curtail before it gets too much farther out of hand.

I didnt believe it does ****... but someone told me last year they lowered prices because of it. Even if it only is for like a week, its still less than we would have been paying. Im not getting gas tomorrow.. just so happens I filled up last friday.

The only way it's going to have any effect is if the people that don't buy gas also don't use gas. Otherwise, you're still consuming it just as you would any other day. Your usage isn't going down any, just the day that you're buying it. A day where we all didn't drive would hit them right in the pocket...this isn't doing anything. The only thing that will be achieved is higher revenues on the day before and after that "gas out."
