need help with charging system
so...my battery died and warrentied a brand new one
just before it died ALL accessories went and the battery light came on along with the e-brake light
threw in the new battery and 30 min later the same lights came on
the multimeter measured a little above 12 V with the car off
so i turned on the car, headlights and highbeams on it read just under 11 V
when i turned them off it returned back to 12 V
any ideas???
i have a parts car with an extra alternater i might just throw in if nothing else works

Before u change the alternator check all the wires and connections.
Bad battery wires or alt wires that have croded terminals will affect the cars charging.
8 times out of 10 when a car goes into a shop because the battery has died it has beed croded terminals that have afected the charging of the battery and shop charges for a battery alt and battery wires.
Also bad chassie grounds will afect how the charging system works as well
