Coming off the linc today down where it turns into Mud St.(for those that may know) there were at least 5 MTO cars and a few cops pulling all sorts of vehicles over. On both trips past I saw a few old trucks pulled over, a transport truck, and some ricers. They all had the hoods open or MTO guys were measuring and such to the vehicles.

I've never seen this before besides at Cayuga and Woodbridge.

Sounds stupid but...comments? I didn't really understand why they were doing it.

Edit: What I mean by not understanding was if it had to do with emissions (because of all the humidity and such) or was it just the govn't wanting more money.

I,ve seen some lately where they are checking trucks and cars for smoke , like burning oil and . Pull you over on side of road.Stab the throttle a coupla times and hold it on fast idle for 15 - 20 secs and watch for smoke..77.
