Importing car from usa to canada

does anyone know how to import a car from the usa.... I'd like to buy my cousins car and this is how I'd like to do it (just let me know if there's something wrong with what I'm doing)

I'd go down to cleveland ohio, me and him would drive it back up here (while his car is still insured)...when we get to canada, he'd then cancel his insurance down there and then I'd put it on my insurance....the thing im unsure about is will I be able to insure it here then?

has anyone done something similar to this which actually worked?

thanks

u really think its gonna be worth it? You'll probably have to change the spedometer if it doesnt have KM in little letters under the MPH and you'll have to get it wired up for daytime running lights.

NOTORIOUS VR will become famous soon enough
^^^ Plus other things for safety i'm sure... Also, i don't think u can just "transfer" the ownership, even if it was a gift... so you'll have to pay duty/taxes on the car when you transfer the ownership
