I'm Back, and I'm back in "BLACK"
What's up guys? Well, I'm happy to say that I'm finally back online, as well as being back in a Black car again. It's been about 6 years since I've had a nice shiny black car with chrome wheels.
As some of you might remember, I was looking for a Black C5 Vette before I had to move. Well, after I finally got settled in to my new house, I started searching, and I actually found a few that were really nice,.........but they were so freaking far away from me and they wanted a lot more than I had to spend.
Long story short, I found a guy down in Sacramento CA that had a Black '98 with brand new Chrome 18" Z06 Rims and Toyo Proxes, a new $6000 paint job, a new K&N CAI, and a fresh rebuild on the tranny. (Yeah it's an automatic, but I needed one with my left knee blown out) His wife wouldn't let him buy a new C6 unless he sold this one first, so he priced it to sell. I got it for $17,500 and a plane ticket down there. That was the funnest drive home I've ever had!!!
Well, I guess it wouldn't be me if I didn't leave a long-a$$ post now would it? I'm just happy they finally came out and hooked up my new HD Cable and High-Speed Internet. I'll see about posting some pictures of the new ride tomorrow since it's 1:30 in the morning and I'm shot.
Oh yeah......to answer the question you might be asking about now,...........
Yes, I still have the Z28!!!! Sorry I haven't answered any PM's, I didn't have my computer hooked up for over a month, plus I have a new email address now so I'll have to get my profile updated. Ok I'm done......for now!

Thanks for the welcome back guys. The Tattoo turned out really good although I didn't get the one I drew, and that's because it didn't have enough detail. I took it in to the shop and even let them try to give it a little more detail but it just wasn't the right kind of picture for a portrait tattoo. Trust me.....I'm glad I didn't do it after the one I actually got. Besides, I wanted him to look more like he did when we were spending all that time together, which is much more important to me! (it will be a few more days before it's done healing fully. I'll post some pics of it then)
As far as the Z28 goes, I'm going to keep it as long as I can. At the current time I have enough money to get me by for a while, but I don't expect that to last for more than about a year. With only getting a limited income from Social Security Disability, I'm having to spend an additional $700 out of my savings just to get me through each month.
So, unless I'm able to get back into school to learn something less physical, my funds will run dry in about a year. I still haven't found out yet what my insurance is going to be on both cars, so we'll see what happens. It may be that I might have to sell the Z and find an RS for about 4K and use that as my gas milage car, but rest assured, I'll definitely make it look similar to what I have. After all, the Z is mainly just a looker with a killer sound system anyway.

I just posted a new thread in the FBodypictures Category explaining all this as well as about 20 pictures of the Vette. (A few are of both cars)
I'm sure I'll lower the Vette as soon as the weather gets better as well as a few other things here and there. I really haven't spent much time yet looking into what Mods are available for the C5's. I'm one of those guys who likes the way they look as they are. I've seen a few that have spoilers and racing stripes on the car, or even a ground effects kit, but I actually thought it took away from the smooth lines it already has.
So, lowering it is a definite. More performance upgrades I'm sure. A better sound system is a must. Other than that I think I'm good!
