Ok, so if you could have any new car, which one would you buy?
- It has to be brand new from a dealer
- It has to be RWD
- Has to have a decent aftermarket

if its for use as a straight up daily driver, and since i like my warrenty and what not,
350z
rx8 because i am a biased mazda lover, but the car isnt anything spectacular
m3 but thats over 60k
gto, but its not available here is it?
zo6 for sure if it doesnt break the bank
however, if i am free to mod it, and you requested aftermarket, i would get
350z or zo6

personally, if i were to buy a brand new car, it wouldnt be a straight line warrior. thats what my project/track cars are for
the reason why i listed the 350z or rx8 isnt because theyre some kind of 11 second monsters waiting to be unlocked, but because they are nice to drive, and when it comes to a circuit, they provide good thrills for an excellent price. the 350 and the rx8 are both very good handling and well designed cars. and both i think look outstanding
i particularly like the rx8, although a bit underpowered, its an AWESOME FR car, and very practical as a daily driver. however, aftermarket isnt great yet from what i understand, and its fairly slow stock, but i think a really great value all around. rx8 gets bashed a lot due to its meager power output, but in all honesty, people dont appreciate it properly. its a not a quarter mile killer, never meant to be one. its just a fun little mazda to scoot around in, that can perform very well in the twisties. meh, maybe im just wierd, but i dont want my brand new daily driver to be some loud and uncomfortable drag machine.
zo6 is a VERY capable no matter what its duty, so i had to include it. and its aftermarket is enormous
so final answer: day to day fun car, probably an rx8, and use the money i saved on my other mazda projects and race cars
but a black on black Z would be badass as well. really tough choice. the Z has a better aftermarket from what i can tell. read an article about the turbonetics 350z turbo kit, retails about 5k usd, and brings the Z up to 365whp @ 8psi, and an excellent powerband, which should keep most people busy at that point
if a zo6 is under 60k too... but now that the c6's are out, i doubt you will find many unsold c5's sitting around, so i guess it doesnt qualify as "brand new from the dealer" anymore anyways

second of all....
you are would drop 60grand on a HONDA? if it didnt have the three letters "N S and X" on it I would laugh at you....
for 60 grand you can get the vette or if you prefer more comfort, go with a 330 coupe from bmw...in stick...pretty much loaded...
Me? c6 vette. I have the gold chains and fake chest hair waiting for me if I have to.
