UPDATE!!! Hurst Billet Plus Instal Guide
here are the steps for insatlling a hurst billet plus shifter in you 93-97 6 speed camaro. i found this install fairly easy and anyone should be able to do i mean i am 17 and it took me about 1 hour, enjoy
remove shift ****
remove shifter compartment ( part containing shift boot and ash tray )
remove ash tray ligh
remove the 10mm bolt from the cd/cassette holder pocket
open the arm rest and remove the 2 10mm bolts inside
remove the light inside the arm rest
remove the cigarette lighter wire
pull the e brake up so that it is almost verticle
lslide the console toward the back and lift it up over the ebrake
remove the 7 7mm bolts from the lower rubber boot and set boot aside
remove the 2 13mm bolts on the shifter
remove the 4 13mm bolts on the shifter mechanism and lift it up and out
apply some rtv silicone gasket and then install the new shifter
tighten the 4 new 13mm bolts included with the shifter
adjust gear stops and tighten nuts with 19 wrench
slip the supplied rubber boot over the shifter mechanism and secure it with the supplied zip tie
install the factory rubber boot and and bolts
reinstall console and reattach all lights and wires
install shifter console
install shift ****
the hurst billet plus shifter give u way shorter shift and also gives u a more secure shift, the stock shifter has a rubber dampaner and the hurst doesn't ths give a more metal to metal kind of shift compared to the mushy stock shift. for the shift **** i put on some red thread lock and i also ordered a hurst brushed alluminum t handle to install this u thread the nut all the way to the bottom apply the thread lock install thread t handle down and to where u want it and then tighten nut up to the t handle allow 15 mins for thread lock to dry hope u guys find this helpful

than guys i also just ordered lou's short stick it sits in the same position as the hurst stick but is 2 inches shorter and reduced shift throws 17% ( thats not including hurst, thats an additional 17% ) anyways if u types lous ss on google or something the site will come up and you can view pics of people have installed it, so now i will have the hurst billet plus shifter with lous ss and hurst brushed alluminum t handle cant wait to install and ill let u kno when i do
