Fuel Injection System Question
Hello Hello,
Just a quick question that may come across as fairly basic, but i figured i would get the best answer here.
Having some issues with the daily driver recently. It hesitates anytime you step on it, basically as soon as it revs up, (Shitty automatic). You feel/hear a huge lag, not only for the shift but in the ignition. I think its an injection problem, but that brings me to my question...
How does the EI system control fuel flow through the injectors.. is it based off of RPM, O2 sensors, or is it just a non changing flow. Im just talking in general, nothing after market.
Thanks in advance ,

depends on the make of the EFI, usally the fuel is determined by a combination of mass air meter, o2 reading, and the fuel mapping in the EFI, and if it is turbo or supercharged, of coarse the boost level will effect it aswell. You said it could be ignition, if it was it would feel more like a miss and alot of vibrations.
