Ford likes you sooo much! Forums being sued
Not sure if any of you are upto speed, but good ole Ford is now suing the owners of ford related sites.

There is about 3-4 other instances right now as we speak where FMC is about to shut down their fan sites.... :tup

Ford is making me change the name of The Ranger Station and pay them $5,000. I have to sign an agreement as well and they want it all by the 19th of this month.
Ford feels that we are infringing on their trademarks and violating their intellectual property rights because we use 'Ranger' in our name.
Apparently it's ok for Ranger Boats, Polaris Ranger and the Lone Ranger.
We are not the first to get attacked by this:
Michigan's Mustang Headquarters
The question is, where do we go from here?
How are we possibly going to rename the site and still be able to attract Ranger owners, when Ford doesn't want us using their name.
To clarify:
Ford wants $5,000 AND therangerstation.com domain name.
Ford feels that we are infringing on their trademarks and violating their intellectual property rights because we use 'Ranger' in our name.

no wonder they need a bailout....lol.
I love when I see those "buy domestic" stickers. Its true you'll be keeping the money in "america" b/c you'll be takin it to a repair shop all the time too, supporting the economy.....lol.
