what kind of welding is that? mig, stick or torch? looks like the heat is too high in some of the welds and too low in the others
when you start a weld try to push the puddle instead of putting on, and keep your nozzle about 1/2" away looks like you're getting alot of splatter
just thought i would help out,i'm a licenced welder, good luck and keep practicing, ineed any other info just pm me

to me it looks like mig.. are you using a crappy tire one that uses no gas , or is your mig got oxygen and accetlene gas...
the migs at crappy tire totally suck.. just the kind you plug in..
Me, i say use mig to tack first, then use tig for the clean finish...
I choose never to use ark welders... YUK!!!
I got my welding certificate in school, then never continued to weld.. I wonder if know how still????

Welding is one of those things that takes a lot of practise to be able to do well. It looks like you are on the right track. Knowing how to properly set up the welder is usually half the battle... you need to know how much gas to use, proper wire feed rate, and amperage.
