Ever have to justify spending money on your car to people?
You know how some people are just blown away by the fact you spend so much money/time on your car instead of saving/investing the money?

My excuse to my entire family: "Would you rather me spend it on my car, or drugs and alcohol?" Then I hear "well that's true". It's just my hobby. Everyone has theirs, mine just happens to be my car.

I just got my Camaro like 2 weeks ago and I am already in love with it. Unfotunetly, I have never been much of a mechanic or 'do it yourself' guy. I guess now is a better time to start then ever
ps: Anyone have any pointers for someone just starting out as far as mods / working on the car goes?

My answer to everyone that askes that kind of question is thats life is short and money is made to be spent. I spend it on whats fun for me and my car is the main thing that keeps me ocupied when im not working so thats where my money goes. Then just look at them and say you got to have fun in life or its a wast and they usually dont have anything else to say.

yeah, i'm always telling my dad to pulley swap and tune his truck or something, but all i ever get is "But son, you don't understand, the speed limit is 65mph, if you can do 65, your car is perfectly fine, you don't need to touch it. Look at my truck, it is tight. If you drove my truck just one time, you'd say "OH DAD PLEASE TRADE ME THE GARBAGE TRANS AM, I DONT WANT IT ANYMORE"" bahh. Some day he'll learn.
edit: Now that I think about it, I find it odd he won't line 'em up at the track....
