Does this sound right?

A kid I used to go to school with has a ?(hasnt told me what year, I've asked him 3 times) I think its an 86 Mustang GT, anyway, it has a 5.0 in it... He claims he is puttin out 750 bhp, and 600 rwhp with these mods:

the lower end crank, cam, valves, rods, mains, stroked, new block, new injectors, the shorty headers from the old i moved to the new, the system is a magnaflow offroad xpipe and a cat system, i got the supercharger from brothers performace its a vortech 8 psi which is about 2500 i got it for 1500 i also have a trick flow manifold on it with a bbk 70mm throtle body new fuel rails fuel pump um new valve covers new pully's i up dated my timing, i also have a ram hd cluch kit fly wheel i got a new trany to help put more to the ground and a carbon fiber drive shaft hurst shifter

He says he got a dyno in cali somewhere with a printout of his numbers... at first he told me all he did was s/c and exhaust, and I said there was no way hes getting 750hp off of that, so he told me these things, Im just wondering if hes right. Seems like a lot of hp just from those mods.

with all that work it very possible but then again u need to give us some numbers like what size block would be the biggest help.

like i said, i dunno what year, im just pretty sure its a 5.0... and as far as his mods, i copied and pasted exactly what he wrote... ill ask him tho

possible them 5.0's either slow or really really fast here haha

He replied to me and told me its a 331 now after being stroked, instead of the 302 with the normal stroke

I don't think he does, look at forcefedz's car he doesn't ahve that kind of power.

he isn't pushing that kind of power with a stock tranny or rear end.

Ask him who in Cali did his tune, that'll give you a solid answer. If he says "a friend", he's full of ****. I don't know many people that have a dyno bay in their backyard...

I've also learned from some other boards, teh mustang brand dynos will read way off sometimes ( a guy on my grand prix board did 2 runs on a mustang one came out about right at 325 hp, the other was 630 hp)

haha, The local strip up here has like 7 or 8 mustangs 10's or better... 3rd gen fbodys and 5.0s can be made into qwick cars... for alot less $ then a fourth gen or a newer stang.

A guy I talk to up here has a 3rd gen camaro pushin 600 whp right now, its the meanest camaro ive ever heard... hes puttin a lot of new stuff this winter, new engine, and a twin turbo setup that will be puttin out 1000 whp he says... its an awesome car. I will have pics and videos when hes done

Cam specs, head flow #s, compression, engine size, induction and exhaust are the only ways ull find out. With what he said he could have a 150hp v8 - 1500hp v8.
