Why cant he get a regular insurence company to insure it? A car is a car as long as it passes safety and emissions it shouldnt really matter or at least it doesnt with my insurence company

get it changed over to a left hand and then they should insure it find a wreck and swap

What? As long as the car is on the "yes" list of the Registrar of Imported Vehicles you can insure it. Some brokers are just dumb asses. Keep trying. There are a lot of classic, antique and performance vehicles in Ontario that are right hand drive. I saw Jim Kenzie in one last month on the 401. Try this site for starters.

l have never heard of this of not insuring the right hand cars. go to the insurance companys and ask for what you can do.
the insurance comapies must advice whether to change it to the right or not. l am still checking for the insurance company's for you

thats retarded, threaten to swap insurance companies if they refuse. i dont see why they wont insure you, its understandable if the rates are slightly higher (yes, RHD vehicles are dangerous especially making left turns at intersections) but by no means should they refuse coverage.
