Best fan switch??

I am about to put the duel fans off the roc on my car casue now that it is summer my car is heating up in traffic when I drive for long periods of time it is pretty bad. Would not having a termostat make it overheat in traffic?? I am pretty sure I don't have one cause it takes forever to get my car to warm up in cold weather. But I want a fan swtich were it kicks the fans on when it gets to a certain temp?? cause I don't like turning it on and off everytime I start and turn the on/off. I had one that you put in the radatoir just in the fins and that did'nt work at all it would'nt kick them on so I think something that goes in the thermostat houseing would be best??

Pull the hose attachment thing that oblts onto your intake manifold. Takes like under 2 minutes to check if you have a thermostat.

Go to kragen or checkers or what ever its called over there. Get the most expensive one (like 8 bux) take it out of the box and put it in the cheapest ones (like 4 bux) box thats what i did. Id get teh 180 or 195 one, 165 takes too long to warm up imo. If ya dont feel right about it then just pay 8 bux for it lol. Id pull it out just to make sure your not getting the cheapest one since there might be a few of me around there

if you didnt have a stat the car wouldnt be too hot, it would be too cold and would never warm up. and as for the switch...i wired my own fan switch but my ecu has a thing to turn it on at 226 or whatever...i dont know if theres a stand alone fan turn on thing...
