350 SBC and 3.8L Trans?
Hey everyone, I just bought a 1984 Monte Carlo this past weekend and have a few things I'd like to do to it as a project, but there's something I need to find out..
I was just wondering if the automatic transmission from the 1984 Monte Carlo with the 3.8L V6 would bolt to a 350 SBC? Someone told me they thought it would, but they weren't sure. I have another trans that will fit the engine, but if the stock Monte one will work then it'll save me alittle bit of work.
If there is anything that is unclear or if you need/want more info then just let me know. Thanks for your time and help, I'm in no real hurry to get this engine swap done as I have many other things In still have to do lol.

I think it might but the problem is the extra power and torque from the 350 might be too much for the 3.8 transmission, if I remember those 3.8 motors came with a TH200 or TH250, so i would recommend either a TH350 or TH400 and you can find them in junkyards off a lot of gm cars and trucks for cheap
