Ford has enlisted the help of famous car customizer Chip Foose to design a series of special edition models for the 2007 model year, according to Automotive News. The cars will be sold through Ford's regular dealerships.

Ford marketing manager Robert Parker said the first vehicle by Foose will be a modified F-150. Mr. Foose hasn't offered any specifics, but he has expressed an interest in working with the Fusion. Undoubtedly, the popular sedan is a top priority for Ford, too.

Parker said the vehicle will be true to the "Foose DNA," but remain affordable. The vehicles will be assembled at both regular Ford facilities and at third-party manufacturers — an arrangement similar to that with Carroll Shelby for his special edition Mustangs.
